Phenominal ‘Sin’ sushi at Michi’s

•February 4, 2010 • Leave a Comment

We had the absolute pleasure of being introduced to Michelle with Michi’s Sushi through Nicole Lisanne.  We were set up to have one of the BEST sushi experiences ever with not only amazing food, but a top notch experience with Michi himself….any amazing man full of creative ideas and thoughts for his food.  His talent doesn’t stop with just him as he showed us a painting hanging in the restaurant by his 10-year old daughter.  Any professional artist would be proud of that piece.

Michi Sushi, located in Campbell, is not only an award winning restaurant, but they provide off the charts customizable catering: from a traveling sushi bar, to die for bbq & kebobs, a how to make sushi lessons, and much much more.

As for our unforgettable experience, here are some MUSTS haves:
* Garlic Edamame – you will be cheating yourself by getting just regular ones.
* Pokie Mango, honey and sushi – to die for combination (who would have thought of fruit with sushi)
* Specialty Shin Salad and Lettuce Pork You – the dressings are absolutely special and delicious (this should bottled up)
* Agedashi tofu – definitely unique here
* Potato Croquette – creamy, crispy and an amazing sauce
* Shin Fire Cracker Roll – WOW, all around goodness

And we topped it off with some Sparkling Sake, which will leave everyone not having a drop to spare.

You must stop by if you want your taste buds to be taken to the next level or if you need an unbelieveable catering service.  And who knows, maybe one day master chef Michi will be naming a delicious roll after  you to add to their 250+ collection of specialty rolls, and you will ride off in their free limo service.  We are hoping for an “Amazae Special” roll someday.

“The Party Dress” feature

We love our weddings, but we also love our special events too. Apparently so did “the Party Dress“, who featured one of our events on their blog.

Last year we were asked to design and coordinate Zoe Zamora’s first birthday. It was great working with Nicole Ha and Jen’s Cake, and of course Zoe’s mom, Zuesette, from Marizette Paperie who made some fantastic stationary to bring the vintage carnival theme to life.

The New Decade with Amazáe

Happy New Year!  We are looking forward to a full and exciting new year full of events with everyone.

As we jump into 2010 in full force, we recognize the many wonderful events and blessings we had in 2009.  We got to know great new vendors for our clients, helped with several vendor launches like Entire Productions’, held our annual design showcase Una Bella Sera at the historic Julia Morgan Ballroom,

designed and coordinated a destination wedding in Cozumel,

was published again in “Your Wedding Day” magazine, and had one of our wedding stories selected to be included in a book “OMG! Wedding Stories” (available in July 2010).

To top the year off, we re-launched our website and had an end of the year party at our design studio, where we shared an evening with some of our special vendors.

This was on top of some of the most awesome weddings and special events we had throughout San Francisco, Napa Valley, South and East Bay, Carmel, Southern California, Pleasanton, just to name a few.  Our clients and vendors were and are always amazing.

We have a lot planned as we plunge into this new decade.  Stay tuned for specifics through our website, blog, twitter, and facebook on our new client offering, Una Bella Sera III, what our founder will be doing as the new vice-chair to ACPWC, our quarterly newsletter, our featured destination wedding, and much much more.

Here’s to a successful 2010 for everyone!!!

Cheers to Our Redesign

We had the honor to hold an intimate cocktail party last week as both a “Thank You” party and a re-launch of our design studio.  The event provided an opportunity for Claudia Akers Photography and Amazáe Special Events to showcase the redesign of our space.  It’s only been a year since our grand opening, but we love change and new designs.  Guests were welcomed with a glass of champagne as they perused displayed items from Unveiled, Hey Lady and DK Designs and dined on some fantastic Vietnamese cuisine as well as custom donuts from  “Donuts de Jour”.

The event was a fantastic success as it provided our team with an intimate opportunity to celebrate the successful event season and enjoy the hard work we put in designing our studio with good food and drink.  Thank you all for attending and we look forward to the new upcoming year.

Jackie and Irwin – from the beginning

•September 22, 2009 • Leave a Comment

We have been so lucky to work with some amazing clients this year.  One particular couple, Jackie and Irwin, we had the pleasure of working with from the very beginning over two years ago.  They took the hire an event coordinator/designer first to heart, and we know it payed off seeing how happy they were on their wedding day at Casa Real.  We booked the place even before it was built, and brought on board an amazing group of vendors.  Details were planned out to the tee, and this couple did so much for their guests: providing transportation, cigars, food, drinks, desserts, photobooth, take home coasters, the works.  It made it even more perfect as they kept their UC Berkeley alma mater in the planning details as well.

Jackie and Irwin are an awesome couple and we were so happy to see everything come into reality two years later.  Congratulations!

Here’s a picture of the happy couple, courtesy of Gene Higa and Ann Hamilton.

A Quick Tease!

•August 9, 2009 • Leave a Comment

We normally don’t post so quickly in regards to an event, but it was a great night last night with a ROCKSTAR team that we had to throw out a quick tease.  Amy and Kendall worked with us for over a year and a half with every last detail for their wedding at the beautiful Casa Real.  The event crew there are such hard workers and the food is supurb.  But that wasn’t the only highlight….we got to design florals with Nicole Ha, have the amazing Maria from PMA taking care of the ladies (even the men), Andrew from MSV shoot the video (can’t wait for that), and the awesome Augie Chang.  Need we say more :-)   Here’s a little tease from Augie!  (Yes already)

Style me Pretty!!!

style

Early July we were given the fabulous news of being asked to submit our work to one of the most honorable wedding blogs across the entire country.  Style Me Pretty, a chic blog “devoted to the style obsessed bride” contains hand selected vendors across the nation.  Their blog is inspirational, with no boundaries to the beauty they share with their over 2 million readers.  Martha Stewart fully endorsed this site by inviting them to represent one of her top favorite quality blogs.  Additionally Modern Bride named them as one of the top most helpful websites.  It is a tremendous honor to be part of Style Me Pretty.  Wow, we made it!

While being able to submit our wedding designs to the blog is a fantastic honor in itself, their invitation to add us to their “Little Black Book” , a thoughtfully edited listing of only a few “top quality” vendors per category, was even more exciting.  We can’t explain how excited we are about this opportunity and we are grateful for their recognition of our dedication and commitment to our clients.
