Memorable Memorial Day Weekend Madness

Team Amazáe was up for the Memorial weekend challenge of two intricate, large, culturally stimulating weddings.  We had the privilege of being part of two couples’ special days at two very different locations.

On Saturday, they day started early for Stephanie and Waylen with traditional tea ceremonies: one at the Fairmont Hotel representing the bride’s side and then off to the Groom’s parent’s magnificent estate to continue the cultural celebration. Stephanie looked beautiful wearing a twist off of a traditional Chinese gown. The ceremonies were well organized and the guests enjoyed the yummy dim sum that was served.  Stephanie and Waylen then tied the knot at the amazingly beautiful Nestldown with close family and friends.  Following was a traditional Chinese wedding reception was held in a totally flipped Dynasty in San Jose.  Everything looked beautiful; fuchsia and white orchids center pieces, the head table was lined in pink linens with intricate cream and gold designs, glamorous gold chairs, delicious mango cream cake, and drapery and lighting to fit the occasion.  One of the key amazing highlights was the movie like same day edit video by Patrick from StillMotion.  And thank you Joseph from IQ Photo for the great in action shot.

Next morning the team was off to the Santa Clara Marriot for our Nidhi and Sanjeet’s wedding.  After immense preparation, the ballroom was set with hundreds of chairs, 700 to be exact, a beautiful aisle of huge cylinders with colored water and candles, and a magnificent stage set up for the Hindu ceremony.  Bloomsters did an fabulous job. Prior to guests entering the ballroom, there was a time when all the guests were outside to welcome the groom for a traditional Barat. There was music, drums being played, desserts, and corsages and lays with purple flowers being handed out to both the bride and groom’s family members. After welcoming the groom, guests flooded into the ballroom for the ceremony to begin. The bride looked stunning in her bright red sari and decked out with Indian jewelry. The priest led the ceremony, while our team made sure things ran smoothly. A buffet-style lunch was being set up for guests to enjoy after the ceremony.  Post the team along with vendors worked hard in transforming the same ballroom in preparation for the reception. The stage looked straight out of a magazine with a garden-like setting and waterfalls directly behind the head table. The garden theme continued throughout the ballroom with unique centerpieces.  Also very unique and meaningful were Nidhi and Sanjeet’s speeaches they made to each other which brought smiles to their guests’ faces. The evening ended with laughter and smiles as the whole bridal party was carried on the dance floor amidst all the dancing!

After a long weekend, our team was exhausted but it was satisfying feeling the success of both these amazing weddings!
